Our client, an international mining software organization, seeks an Intermediate Geologist AND a Senior Geologist for their Sudbury location. Reporting to the General Manager, these geologists will play a key role in the company's current expansion goals.

The key to being the successful candidate is to:
- 5 – 8 years experience for intermediate and 10+ years for senior geologist; both positions require professionals with experience and knowledge of mine planning software
- Degree in Geology
- Periodic travel within Canada
- Have experience providing consultative-type assistance, whether it be working with an engineering consultancy firm (for mining industry) and/or working directly for a mining company
- Must be comfortable facilitating training sessions for small groups, and have strong communication skills
- Strong aptitude with mine planning software; technically savvy
- Ability to identify a client's needs, and offer appropriate software for their need
- Hands-on/Can-do attitude, ability to work within a tight-knit team, and an individual who is able to communicate with mine staff, from senior (Mine Managers) to the more junior technical employees
- Intermediate Geologist MUST have experience with resource estimation, and French speaking/written skills a STRONG ASSET
- Senior Geologist MUST have project management experience and strong leadership abilities
Responsibilities:
- Providing training to clients in the mining industry as it relates to mine planning software
- Providing support to clients both on-site and off-site with any general questions regarding software, and including more technical questions
- Assist business development team with identifying areas of need for clients; cross-selling products, using an ability to outline the benefits of products
- Geological consulting responsibilities include: manipulating data, resource evaluation, etc.
- Writing proposals and scope of work reports
- Assist with the production of databases and demonstration material for marketing and training purposes
- Assist with testing of new software prior to release
- Carry out any other tasks which may be reasonably expected for the promotion and support of the business
