Our client is a Canadian supplier of quality goods and services to customers in the agriculture and agri-food industry, participating in all aspects of agri-business, including facility management, logistics, crop inputs, grain procurement, merchandising and value-added processing.

They are looking for talented individuals to join their team at a processing and refining plant. This state of the art plant, which is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2010, will produce 350,000 metric tonnes a year.

Reporting to the Chief Power Engineer, this position is responsible for monitoring and operation of the deodorizing process and plant boilers including all ancillary equipment. Additional responsibilities include following the daily operating schedule ensuring production quality and timetables are met; logging all operation records as well as adhering to prescribed regulatory and Company requirements for Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation and GMP’s.

The ideal candidate will possess a 2nd Class Power Engineering license as well as a minimum of 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing or processing environment. Excellent written, documentation and verbal communications skills, as well as a willingness to work a rotating shift schedule are required.
