My client a leading manufacturer in Northern Ontario (Timmins, North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie) now has a requirement for an Operations Supervisor.
The role is accountable for the efficient day-to-day running of the Operations Department, while ensuring
customer service excellence standards are achieved. Direct supervision of all Technicians, including:
performance management, employee engagement and development.
Role Responsibilities and Functions:
- Leadership functions: Goal setting, communicating expectations, monitoring performance, coaching, training, providing feedback
- Supervisory functions: Schedule adherence monitoring, attendance and absenteeism; ensuring health & safety standards are upheld
- Lead by example in setting the bar high in customer service standards; coaching staff to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded
- Business trend analysis, idea generation, process improvement initiatives, inventory control, labour cost management
Job Knowledge and Work Experience
- 3-4 years management / supervisory experience
- Technical manufacturing and/or service industry background
- Post-secondary education (engineering, technical training preferred)
