Our client was formed to exploit an Iron Ore mine and concentrator in Schefferville, QC on the border of Newfoundland and Labrador. They are a joint venture ranked in the top 10 steel producers. They employ over 80,000 people in five continents and boasts a revenue in excess of $20 billion for the 2010 fiscal year. The current project consists of upgrading high grade hematite ore with a feasibility study on a much larger project underway. The current project is a fly-in, fly-out operation.
Qualifications:
- At least five (5) years of management experience, preferably in a hospitality management role with a background of Housekeeping Management experience.
- Working knowledge of all housekeeping procedures and laundry management.
- Strong financial management abilities.
- Great people management skills and labour relations experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
- Strong organizational skills and time management
- Strong problem solving, decision-making and analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills using email, excel, power point.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintains responsibility and accountability for Personnel Management Functions of the camp.
- Maintains responsibility and accountability for the Financial Management of the costs and expenses of the camp budget.
- Manage workers use of facilities and Perform front desk duties.
- Supervise staff onsite and Set work schedules for them.
- Enforce on site security and safety policies and procedures associated.
- Oversee camp maintenance activities and Conduct performance reviews.
- Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies and order same, keeping costs in line with approved budgetary amounts.
