Position: Senior Geologist

Our client is a junior gold resource company based in Toronto, ON.  They have significantly expanded their ground position in northwest Ontario and consequently are seeking experienced geologists to facilitate the exploration activities and advance the current projects into 2012 and beyond.  This position offers an excellent growth and learning opportunity for the right individuals with quality exploration targets to be evaluated and a feasibility study to be completed.  They explore 12 months of the year and field work/supervision will potentially be a big component.  Excellent compensation package commensurate with experience is offered.

Qualifications & Education:

• BSc in Geology or Earth Sciences
• +10 years of exploration related experience
• Experience in organizing, managing, and leading multi-faceted grass-roots to advanced exploration programs
• Independence with a “cando”, self-motivated attitude
• Leadership abilities
• Experience with MS Office and Geological software (MapInfo-Discover, Surpac)
• Canadian Residency or Canadian Work Visa
• Experience in gold, multiple discipline exploration campaigns and /or feasibility studies will be held in high regard

Responsibilities:

• Planning and implementation of the Company’s exploration activities
• Preparing and monitoring field budgets
• Direct supervision of consultants and junior staff
• Reporting on a regular basis exploration results and expenditures to Management
• Coordinating and liaising with consultants and business partners
