Position: Maintenance Superintendent
Locations: Temiscaming, QC

Qualifications & Education:
- Mechanical Engineering / Technologist Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ Years Experience
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Computer Literate
- Bilingualism: advanced
- Aptitude test requirements
Expected Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure maximum performance of maintenance department through effective use of systems, procedures and resources
- Ensure that maintenance activities meet or exceed established standards
- Develop and implement a maintenance plan including RPA’s to maximize uptime
- Review and initiate CPA requests to ensure ongoing maintenance requirements can be met
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in the department
- Coordinate maintenance activities and share resources with Site Services and other operating/business unit
- Ensure that maintenance activities are in accordance with health, safety and environmental legislation
- Promote and provide a safe work place and implement and maintain a health & safety program
- Prepare and meet all departmental maintenance budgets and explain variances with appropriate corrective action taken as required
- Ensure all maintenance employees in the mill demonstrate maximum effectiveness in role and are developed for potential future advancement including objective setting and performance appraisals as appropriate
- Ensure full compliance with Collective Agreement and foster sound union/management/employee relations
- Keep up to date with new technology and management methods
