Our client is a global company developing and supplying a full range of technical software solutions and services to the mining industry worldwide. You will be working with many of the worlds largest mining companies. Due to an aggressive growth strategy, they are currently seeking candidates for the position of Mining Consultant in Peru.
Qualifications & Experience :
- 3-7 years as an industry consultant
- University Degree combined with relevant professional designation and related field experience
- Troubleshooting, analysis, responsiveness, investigation, testing, solutions implementation, training and support
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Represent the company to existing and new clients by carrying out consultancy and project work (both on-site for customers, as well as in other company offices)
- Carry out and coordinate with colleagues the promotion of software-based solutions to existing and potential new clients, demonstrate their use and application, and follow up expediently in an effort to promote sales
- Assist with the testing of software prior to public release
- Install software solutions on client hardware, carry out any necessary testing to resolve potential installation problems and troubleshoot and record problems reported by clients
- Coordinate, with colleagues, the sales of software-based solutions
- Contribute to sales, promotion and training efforts by assisting with the establishment of databases, and production of demonstration materials, presentations, mail-outs etc.
- Provide guidance and technical support to clients in the proper use of software and technology solutions, and conduct client training courses in the use of software and technology solutions, as required (both in-house and on customer sites)
- Contribute to sales efforts and client relationship-building by attending and presenting papers at industry conferences, participating in targeted trade shows, and being directly involved in marketing road shows
- Liaise with staff in other group companies and offices on matters of mutual interest
