Qualifications:

• College or University degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software.
• Ability to assume responsibility and to interface an communicate effectively with others, have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
• Exceptional ability in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and any other documentation associated with steel fabrication.
• Knowledge of materials of construction (AR Steel Plate, Castings), welding and machining.
• CAD Experience

Expected Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of accurate, full cost estimates on conceptual, design-build or general tender work.
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work.
• Prepare accurate work orders for shop construction and assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors and equipment needed for the awarded contract.
