Our client is seeking an individual looking for a challenge. This will be a fly in, fly out opportunity in QC and Labrador. Competitive salary and compensation are offered.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years experience
- Bilingual (preferred)
Expected Roles and Responsibilities:
- Works and ensures all workers work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants and all other applicable government standards and regulations
- Adheres to and enforces the internal responsibility system and Five Point Safety System
- Participates and assists in safety meetings
- Contributes to the development, revision and implementation of policies and procedures for the mine operations
- Participates in monthly forecasts, tertiary forecasts and annual planning
- Participates in planning, designing excavations, the choice of extraction methods and sequence extraction to obtain: the best possible stability of excavations at the lowest possible cost, with the best recovery rates and the lowest dilution
- Participates in the planning and design for drilling and blasting with emphasis on the stability of excavations, ore recovery and dilution; perform analysis after excavation by using CMS and other tools available
- Participates in ventilation planning and design
- Is aware and up to date with technical developments / improvements in the area of expertise and informs the supervisor
