Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in grassroots program management, tropical terrains, sed-hosted base metals an asset
- B.Sc. in geology or geological engineering
- Shows leadership, autonomy, rigor
- A team player that has good aptitude in communications
- Bilingualism is essential (French / English)
- Computer proficiency
Expected Roles and Responsibilities:
- Study and interpret on a continuing basis the surface and underground geology and communicate any information which may change the planned exploration work
- Actively participate in the elaboration and implementation of all mine programs
- Responsible for; mapping, resource modeling and estimations
- Participate in the short and long term planning of the mining operations
- Compiles and interprets the exploration data on geological plans and sections
- Plans and supervises the exploration work outside the known reserves and on other neighbouring properties
- Supervises the exploration and production geologists and any other persons placed under supervision
- Produce a monthly report on the advancement of work and results of the exploration program
- Ensure the exploration and production data is maintained up to date in the databases, plans and sections
- Determine exploration objectives and accordingly presents a budget
- Assist the geological department in the interpretation of new sectors
