Position: Professor

Department: Civil and Mining Engineering Technology Program, Department of Applied Technology
Location: Sudbury, Ontario

Our client offers a generous compensation program and excellent social advantages.  With a salary ranging between $58000 and $100000 (pending on experience) and 6+ weeks of vacation, this permanent full-time position is very attractive.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc in mining, civil or structural engineering or related field
  • Professional engineer designation
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the field, including in a teaching role
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, CAD and the Internet
  • A master in the French language with competency in English

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Take on a leadership role with students and prepare them for apprenticeship
  • Create, revise and put courses into place related to Civil / Mining Engineering and other affiliated programs
  • Teach these courses ensuring that they are preparing students for apprenticeship and for work in the field
  • Incorporate practical experiences and evaluate students on their progress
  • Create a positive learning environment
  • Approximately 20hrs of in class teaching
