Our client is a leader in industrial automation systems that are used in companies around the globe. They specialize in designing, manufacturing and installing automated systems for use in heavy industrial environments. They are rapidly expanding and are looking for motivated individuals to join their team.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience is a must
- University Graduate or College (Electrical Engineering or Related Discipline)
Expected Roles and Responsibilities:
- Extensive experience with PLC + HMI programming on multiple platforms. (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modican, etc.)
- Variable frequency drives, analog process control, strong computer skills a must
- Must be able to design and draw electrical schematics using AutoCad
- Knowledge of Electrical & Electronic Systems
- Excellent communication Skills
- Must be willing to travel and work as many hours as needed to meet start up and project deadlines
- Must be able to work with limited direction in a team environment.
- Develop electrical controls by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying electric controls concepts, approaches, techniques and criteria including panel layouts, control systems and Operator Interface Terminals (OITs)
- Implements electrical controls design by providing installation, start-up, and technical support
- Troubleshoot and resolving production problems related to electrical controls engineering design
- Ability to program AC/DC Drive System using PLC’s.
- Ability to develop and evaluate new electrical controls, prepare layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Collaborate with related engineering design teams on a project
- Evaluate components, materials, and suppliers for a project
- Identify and resolve design integration/interface issues
- Determine and establish design specifications for safety standards
- DCS programming is an asset (Foxboro, ABB, etc.)
- Ability to understand machines, mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems is an asset.
- Robot programming (Fanuc/ABB)
