Our client is a rapidly expanding underground mining contractor with its base in Lively, ON.  They specialize in mine construction, development, rehabilitation and shaft sinking as well as Alimak and Conventional raising.  Their mission is to “provide high quality work in a safe and timely manner”.  They offer competitive salaries with a handsome bonus.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience
• Mine shaft experience
• Construction and raise experience
• Intermediate computer skills is a must
• Supervisory Common Core is a must
• Clean cut / shaven
• Personable

Expected Roles and Responsibilities:

• Scheduling and directing work crews
• Preparing work plans and hazard analysis for work
• Assuring quality control
• Managing and tracking cost on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Scheduling equipment and subcontractors
• Administering safety programs
• Manage field engineers as well as a crew of up to 20 employees
• Maintaining good owner relations.
• Develop detailed works plans in conjunction with engineers.
• Develop monthly, weekly and daily schedules for crews, equipment and materials
• Build on budget and adjust the plan and methods as the work proceeds to improve productivity
