Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience
- B.Sc. in Geophysics or B.Sc. in Earth Sciences combined with M.Sc. Geophysics
- Professional Accreditation with APGO (or equivalent)
- Expertise with borehole and surface UTEM data and interpretation
- Understand Geophysics applications/techniques for magmatic sulphide exploration
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in exploration-related technology
Expected Roles and Responsibilities:
- Execute/supervise internal and contract geophysical surveys and provide interpretations
- Ensure that proper procedures for acquisition and quality control fo data is performed and/or developed and improved
- Recommend and develop technical specifications for internal and contract geophysical surveys
- Administer exploration contracts
- Undertake processing and interpretation, both qualitative and quantitative, of geophysical data, utilizing software for digital modeling
- Work with exploration teams to integrate geochemical, geophysical and geological data in order to select the best targets and select optimum exploration drill locations
- Provide final reports on data acquisition, quality control, interpretation and conclusions/recommendations for all internal and contract surveys
- Mentor and coach junior staff
- Active participation in HSE; responsible for ensuring the application of all policies and procedures, and government regulations
