Our client is a junior mining and Exploration Company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and operation of mining properties in Canada, and is currently focused primarily on nickel in Ontario.

Our client started commercial production in the fourth quarter of 2005. They are presently undertaking feasibility studies that will explore options for mine expansion and a pre-feasibility study.

The company’s exploration and mining properties represent an excellent balance of green-fields and advanced projects that deliver a strong growth potential through new discoveries and development of existing deposits.

Due to their aggressive growth and success, our client is currently hiring for the position of a Senior Mine Engineer located in Sudbury.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have or be eligible for professional engineering designation in the province of Ontario.
• Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years experience working in an underground mining environment.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided design software, computer spreadsheets and word processing is essential.
• This is a team oriented environment and therefore, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be an integral member of the engineering group with responsibilities including, but not limited to: overseeing planning, scheduling, ground control, ventilation and surveying.
