Our client, located in New Liskeard has an immediate opening for a full time Foundry Manger.
Duties and Responsibilities
It is the imperative of the Foundry Manager to set goals for attainment and productivity for the Foundry. Once these goals have been set, the Foundry Manager will use the system to roll down these goals to all management levels and to the employees. The system will then be used to ensure that the goals are achieved scheduled.
- Plans, develops and implements division policies and goals in conjunction with the company president.
- Coordinates the activities of engineering, estimating, sales, manufacturing, machine shop, and research and development, as they relate to the foundry division.
- Develops and implements plans to efficiently se materials, labour and equipment to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Examines materials and products at various stage of processing for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Resolves work problems and recommends work measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Directs quality control inspection systems and develops production reporting procedures.
- Establishes methods to meet work schedule and coordinates work activities within units.
- Monitors work in progress to ensure that delivery dates are met.
- Suggests or initiates changes to in order to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Determines required manpower levels and adjusts as required.
- Plans and manager the foundry budget .
