Our client is an authorized distributor in Ontario for Detroit Diesel & Mercedes-Benz On-Highway Engines, Detroit Diesel, MTU and Mercedes-Benz Off-Highway Engines, DEUTZ engines, MTU Onsite Energy Generator Sets and Allison Transmission. They also have a full compliment of All Makes parts from more than 50 leading manufacturers.
Due to the growth in this market, our client has an immediate, full-time opening for a
Diesel Engine Sales Representative for the Sudbury area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identifies and compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, internet research, newspapers, word of mouth and other sources
- Travels by car through assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers to develop and/or maintain strong relationships, and to solicit business arrangements and contracts.
- Maintains and updates all customer, activity and opportunity
- Leverages relationships with current diesel engine and power generation customers to seek out leads for new unit sales.
- Looks for and reports opportunities for selling other products and services.
- Represents our company at industry functions, trade shows and events.
- Pursues new avenues and strategies that help develop increased sales into market areas that are not traditional.
- Required reporting includes weekly activity, pipeline, and itinerary reports. Additional reports may be necessary on a quarterly or annual basis.
- Performs special assignments as requested.
The chosen candidate will have Diesel Engine knowledge and/or experience in the field.
